Tiwa Savage’s recent remarks about her divorce from TeeBillz reveal a pattern of deflecting responsibility and portraying herself as the victim. Tiwa Savage Opens Up About Divorce: Blame, Backlash, and Reinvention

Tiwa Savage has finally opened up about her divorce from her ex-husband, TeeBillz, in a recent interview on The Receipts Podcast. She shared that TeeBillz was the one who caused their split, claiming she didn’t want the divorce. According to her, TeeBillz announced it publicly while she was still struggling with postpartum depression after giving birth to their son.

Tiwa explained how hard it was, stating, “He announced it online, and I was the one being attacked.” At the time, her baby was only a few months old, and she was coping with emotional and physical changes. Sadly, few people reached out to support her, while most sided with TeeBillz.

Things escalated after Tiwa gave an interview to share her side of the story. She felt blamed by the public, with many saying it was her responsibility to keep the family together. This backlash hurt her deeply, and she decided not to speak about it again.

The experience left Tiwa feeling depressed and angry for a long time. She eventually reinvented herself by adopting the “African Bad Girl” persona—getting tattoos, wearing bikinis, and dressing in short skirts. Though Tiwa went through a lot, her story shows how she shifted focus onto herself, which may have hindered her path to true healing.
